Wear that there is committed to creating high quality, hand made jewellery from our small studio in London

Clare O'Driscoll established wear that there in 2009 whilst studying for her MA in Jewellery Design. Whilst working on pieces for exhibition as part of her MA, she began experimenting with hand imprinting letters and words onto silver. After making a necklace for herself, then for friends, then their friends, the company grew.

Customers choose their own inscription, often names, dates, or song lyrics, giving them a direct link to the design process and a personal attachment to the finished piece. The result is clearly hand made, unique piece of jewellery.

‘I love the fact that each piece is so unique and personal to the wearer, the specially chosen messages creating wearable keepsakes, jewellery for life. The place where your partner proposed, the mantra that keeps you calm, names of your loved ones, lyrics from your favourite song…. We’ve had two people propose using necklaces – luckily both recipients said yes!’

Clare has an MA in Jewellery Design at London's John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design. She has collaborated with ASOS, shown jewellery as part of London Design Week, Couer LA, PIN (Portugese Association of Contemporary Jewellery), and the Legnica international Jewellery Competition.  She is currently working on some new designs using gold and incorporating precious stones.
